The game was played is scorching heat in the beautiful Hicksville stadium. The first half rvsc were in tantalizing form slicing through the Hicksville team with one and two touch soccer but the bar, the post and some excellent saves and blocks kept the score at 0-0 at the half. The 2nd half was a more even game which resulted in a full time score off 0-0. in the first period off Over time, the rvsc forwards again took control and only the bar once again saved the Hicksville from conceding as Alex tonelli thundered his header against it. with just 6 mins left off the 2nd period off OT, keith Diaz collected a brilliant pass from the surging Doug Fox to hammer the ball in from 14 yards. and with just 1 min left Casey Terricoccia smashed a 30 yard power drive to seal the game. well done all, next Saturday its Semi final time against the number 3 team in the Country Commack SC.
What a game, what a result, what an effort, GB Soccer's trained and coached RVSC u15s Red, on Saturday knocked out the Nationally top 20 ranked Massapequa u15s in the Eastern New York State Cup quarter final. Missing their influential Holding Mid fielder Zach Tzevilis through a season ending injury, the lads went into this one intent on winning this one for Zach. Against all odds and well and truly underdogs, the rvsc lads did not read the script and played out a fantastic effort. 0-0 at the half the boys started the 2nd half determined to keep themselves in the tie and with just 21 mins left they got a break through when Zack Sicorski got on the end off a Consella free kick to head home and send the RVSC fans absolutely crazy. The upset was on and some excellent defending and great work from Keeper Eddie Fanine kept the score 1-0 till the last 2 mins when Dj O'Brien broke free to seal the deal for the young Guns and win a history making game and a visit away to the number one team in the Country the Smithtown Gunners. A fantastic overall effort by the whole squad, well done all.
The GB Soccer trained and coached RVSC u17s made it three out off three for RVSC in the Eastern New York State cup quarter final on Saturday, the boys playing their third game at home in this years route to the top, took full advantage off that when within mins they opened the scoring to take an early 1-0 lead, but the Kosmos had come to not just make up the numbers and within 20 mins had tied the game to take it to the half at 1-1. In the 2nd half The ref sent off the Kosmos midfielder as the game threatened to break out off control but the Rvsc lads played on and with minutes left scored the winner to take them into the semi final and their first away game off the tournament next week sees them enter the lions den away to the top ranked Manhattan Ajax. A great effort on a scorching day.

CHAMPIONS !!! RVSC U18'S.
congrats to the U18s rvsc boys trained and coached by the GB SOCCER staff, a magnificent come from behind win today, in beautiful sunny Richmond, Virginia. Trailing 1-0 after 30 minutes a Dylan Williams Corner five mins from half time was powerfully headed in from Mike Wagner for his 4th goal off the tournament to bring the game level at the half. The 2nd half saw the RVSC lads take the game with their normal service resumed soccer, and only for some fantastic keeping by the Virginia keeper this game could have been a goal feast. But with just 8 minutes left up popped Cory Laga after some neat play by Keith Diaz, Dylan Williams and Joe Cutijar to find Cory wide left and he drilled his cross / shot into the top corner for the game winner and how he celebrated, with a double tummble, cart wheel sort off effort. But what a great effort by the whole squad, missing some players the u18 white team players stepped up their game to help make this a great Victory for the RVSC club.

RVSC U16S MAKE NY STATE CUP FINAL
With one dissapointing result on Saturday Morning 21st May, in the u17 semi final off the State cup, it was down to the RVSC u16s to make it two years in a row that RVSC had a team in the NY State cup finals day. And well they stood up to that challenge. Away to the Elite FC Westchester, Rvsc started off nervous but the boys hung in and worked hard to get to half time at 0-0. The half time talk was not one for faint hearted but it did the trick as the players came out firing and got their reward when Gavin Keenan played Edmond Myres in and as his chip shot boucned off the post Keenan's excellent follow up led to him hammering the ball in for a 1-0 lead.
The lead was doubled minutes later when Jimmy Rosengrant and Marc Tores combined well to set Myres up for RVSCto lead 2-0. With just minutes remaining Rvsc rapped up a great day when Marc Torres scored from the penalty spot after an FC defender handled in the box.
A great end to the day for Ramapo Valley SC and for the 2nd year in a row they will be represented in the June 5th finals in Lagrange.

Rvsc u16s red, win exciting State cup opener at Soccer Plus, Newburgh.
The Ramapo valley u16 boys continue to improve after back to back tournament wins the boys travelled up to Newburgh, on Thursday March 24th for round one off the State Cup. A game against a very strong Soccer plus team was not want the boys wanted in round one, but they went into the game confident after their recent performances. Marc Torres got them off to a great start flicking on a Mike Nastu free kick but unfotunately some errors in defence and keeping saw Soccer PLus go 2-1 up before the half finished.
The 2nd half saw Rvsc begin to play like they have done recently, as a result they quickly went level after an excellent goal from Liam Flynn brought the game back to 2-2. Rvsc had a few good chances to win this one in normal time but some unlucky finishing meant the game went into extra time. Another bad error saw Soccer plus grab another lead 3-2 in the first period off extra time but Ben Evans was on target to finish off an excellent save from the Newburgh net minder to square it again at 3-3. In the last period off over time RVSC were awarded a much deserved penalty after a hand ball by a Newburgh player and Marc Torres stepped up to hammer the ball in for the winning goal 4-3.

Ramapo Valley u16 boys led in every game in Weston, Florida, during the Presidents weekend three day International Weston Cup. The boys have been working hard all winter following up on their good showing at all three weekend college showcases in the Fall, so it was no surprise to see the boys play well. However the hot temps and lack off out door games over the winter months showed as in each game they conceeded late goals to leave them needing a win to progress to the championship final. Leading 1-0 in that game Goalkeeper Matt Urnick unfortunately got sent off and conceeded a PK which eventually cost RVSC the game.
